This isn’t nuts – The Boston Globe

At first glance, the Drosselmeyer nutcracker ($39.95) resembles a plumber’s tool, but once you know what it is, it makes perfect sense. The Stockholm design company’s mission is to improve everyday products. This nutcracker, weighing almost 12 ounces, is a metal cone fitted with a sturdy 5-inch handle. Place a nut in the opening on top of the cone and cover with one hand. With the other hand, squeeze the handle to crack the nut, and turn upside down to empty. The double lever action makes quick work of cracking everything from filberts to Brazil nuts. For Drosselmeyer, there’s no such thing as a nut too tough to crack.
