The latest entry in the increasingly popular dinner-kit delivery category is Kitchn Synch, the first Glatt Kosher meal-in-a-box option. Launched in the New York tri-state area this year, the service arrived in Boston at the end of April. On the company’s website, customers can order weekly from a revolving menu of six meals, choosing a two-, four-, or six-person plan ($89.95 to $179.80). Recent choices included pretzel-coated chicken fingers with charred edamame and purple cabbage (pictured), with a rice noodle salad, and basil Thai beef over rice with quick cucumber salad. Pre-measured ingredients, which are approved by KOF-K, a kosher certification agency, arrive in an insulated box with frozen gel packs, intended to stay fresh even if recipients are out for the day. Illustrated recipes with instructions come with the meals, which can be prepared in under an hour. The brainchild of Douglas Soclof, founder of Dougie’s Bar-B-Que & Grill kosher barbecue in New York, New Jersey, and Maryland, Kitchn Synch might just be the blessing busy kosher households need. www.kitchnsynch.com
