A sponge caddy is an easy thing to get attached to, especially the one from InterDesign, which comes with a separate plastic tray ($9.99). The steel rack, coated with a rust-resistant finish, measures about 5-by-2½-inches, a comfortable fit for sponges and scrubbers. Designed for easy cleaning, the rack sits in the tray with enough space underneath to allow air to circulate. Sponges drip dry into the tray, not onto the counter. A nice little bonus is that the sponges have their own place at the sink and are easy to find when you need them. Available at Kitchen Outfitters, Acton Woods Plaza, 342 Great Road, Acton, 978-263-1955; Tags Hardware, 29 White St., Cambridge, 617-868-7711; and KitchenWares by Blackstones, 215 Newbury St., Boston, 857-366-4237.
